Jewelry

Pocket WatchThe jewelry capture was a task. My intention was to fill the frame with the pocket watch but did I get a surprise; I needed a telephoto. After discussing this with Ms. Harkins I decided to go with a wide angle, knowing that the distortion could be a problem. I did a lot of twisting and turning to remove as much of the distortion as I could while still trying to fill the frame. Finally, I got close to what I wanted, and the lens ended up about two or three inches from the watch. After all this I had exposure and focus problems and most likely will re-shoot the watch. This is the photo - your comments are welcome.

why reshoot this looks awesome!

The Film has a major shift, the corner is somewhat blown out, and the 6 on the face is not in focus. Also, the wood has signs of reddish/pink gains; I don't know where that came from. It would be easier to reshoot verses spending 25 sheets of paper and 2 two days on photoshop.

After some back and forth'en and changing up things I believe, well Ms. Harkins and I believe it will work. When you are that close the focus and distortion are so touchy it is unreal. Thanks for commenting. Oh yeah hope your 5d is working for you.
